Borland-Based Color Schemes

These are my best effort to recreate the color schemes offered with the 1995 Borland IDE. I did make a few embellishments. The old IDE did not have line markers or folding symbols, so I took some liberties there, but whatever I could keep original, I did.

The default color scheme for the old Borland IDE

Borland Classic

Retro-Based Color Schemes

These retro themes are based on the old IBM Color Graphics Adapter (CGA) and old monochrome monitors. The CGA ones were a bit of a challenge. The adapter could only display four simultaneous colors, so I did my best to make a diverse color scheme with only those.

CGA1
v. 2.2

Based on CGA palette 0, high intensity

CGA2
v. 2.2

Based on CGA palette 1, high intensity

CGA3
v. 2.2

Based on CGA palette 0, low intensity

CGA4
v. 2.2

Based on CGA palette 1, low intensity

Retro Amber
v. 2.9

Inspired by old amber monochrome monitors

Retro Green
v. 3.2

Inspired by old green monochrome monitors (think Apple IIe)
